Make New Friends as we Celebrate the Jewish Holidays and Values, and Our Tradition Through an Experimental Multisensory Approach.

The Jewish Community of Harrison (JCCH) is inviting parents with young children (ages 3-4) to join us as we celebrate the Jewish Holidays throughout this coming year. Beginning in September and ending in May, parents with young children will have the opportunity – free of charge – to join us at these holiday events. Our teachers will provide warm, fun, hands-on activities including creative art projects, musical experiences, games and other activities related specifically to each holiday. Temple members as well as non-members will be welcome to attend.  REGISTER HERE.

GOALS

• Create a bridge and introduction to the JCCH community and our Kehilah school.
• Enhance relationships of young families and provide rich and meaningful Jewish content, including education about Jewish holidays, Jewish values and traditions.
• Enrich Jewish holiday celebrations for young children using a child-centered, multisensory approach – providing hands-on creative art projects, as well as musical experiences and playful games and activities related specifically to each holiday.
• Find inventive ways to use the JCCH facilities to make our Jewish holiday events as meaningful as possible, selecting the best locations within the JCCH for each holiday event as well as preparing in advance, the most meaningful décor, playful materials, music, art projects, dress-up clothing and holiday games, all to be based on the holiday being celebrated.
